Verifying the validity of a seafarer’s diploma is a mandatory step before going on a voyage, signing a contract or undergoing a crewing inspection. To make sure that your diploma is entered in the register, you need to use the official verification service from the Maritime Administration of Ukraine (MARAD).
Where can I check my diploma?
The official service is available at:

Verification options:
There are two verification options available in the system:
- Quick search
- Extended form through the Personal Account
How to use Quick Search:
- Go to the website: https://vrf.marad.gov.ua/check-document
- In the “Document type” field, select the desired document (diploma, certificate, etc.)
- Enter:
- Document number
- Date of issue
- Click “Make a request”
After that, the system will generate a link to download the verification result in .pdf format in Ukrainian and English.
If the quick search didn't work:
You can use the Extended form.:
- Register or log in to your Personal Account on the MARAD website.
- In the Verification Request section, fill in all the required fields in the Seafarer’s Qualification Confirmation form.
- After filling out the form, click “Make a request”.
If you successfully submit your request, you will receive a notification by email and in your account: “Your request has been successfully generated” with the request number.
The results of the verification will appear in your Personal Account and via email.
